Modesto

On Sunday we went to Modesto where Dave grew up. We took pictures of him at all the schools he went to when he was young. Dave thought it was totally lame but I told him our kids will love to see these pictures!

San Francisco

For December 30 (Dave's Birthday) we all went to San Francisco. When Dave was living in Modesto his family would always go to San Francisco for the day during Christmas so we continued the tradition and went to the city.

We were only in the city for a few hours so we hit the major cites: Lombard Street, Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Warf, and Union Square. We also rode the Trolley which was so much FUN! We also had pizza at Blondie's(Hawks family tradition) which I totally recommend. The pizza was HUGE and totally yummy!

Columbia & Rail Town

I just couldn't resist. I do have the cutest butt...

One of the days we went to two places. One of the places is called Columbia and it is a small mining town.

Then we went to Rail Town and saw some old trains. A lot of Western movies were filmed in the town like Back to the Future.

CHRISTMAS DAY!

This year for Christmas we went to Twain Harte (which is a small town near Yosemite). Dave's grandma lives in Twain Harte so everyone decided to go California. Christmas day was full of lounging around and opening gifts. It snowed all day so we were cooped up but in the afternoon it cleared up and we took a walk. We took lots of pictures of the scenery so make sure to check those out. Dave especially enjoyed wearing his festive Christmas sweater!

It's a hard life...

My New Toy: Nikon D60

For the past few months you probably have been wondering why I haven't posted any pictures well it was because my old digital camera broke. It surprisingly lasted me 5 years and it was quite embarrassing to carry anywhere because it weighed too much and was lame. So this year my mom got me a new camera for Christmas. I did a ton of research and wanted a "really really" nice camera that would give me amazing pictures. I decided on the Nikon D60 and I LOVE it! It cost a lot but will be totally worth it. On my first day of shooting I took almost 300 pictures!

Synchronized Swimming

Halloween!

This year we were skeletons and this was the best costume ever. It was so easy to make and way too comfortable!
Grandma (& Colton) came to visit and enjoyed spending time with the grandkids.
Mac and Scount dressed up as a police man and jailbird. They were way too cute!

The Wood Family! Are they the cutest niece and nephews ever.

In Arizona since its still 80 Degrees outside everyone just has parties on their font lawn. We all gathered at my sisters house and watched a movie. We set up a projector and blankets and ate tons of candy. It was a lot of fun.

Everyone watching the movie.

Halloween Party 2008!!

We had too much fun this year!! We made lots of good fun and played some really funny games. We played musical chairs (almost broke a chair), balloon poping contest (see video, I only uploaded one video but there was plenty of funny footage) and M&M spitting contest. I look forward to this event every year and it just keeps getting better.

Attendees: YMCA Village People, Tooth Fairy & Tooth, Skeletons, Rocky & Adrian, Dancing with the Stars professionals.

This year we wanted to do an original Halloween costume so we decided on skeletons. I got the sweats at Big Lots for 4 bucks each and then Dave cut out the bones. It was easy and totally freaky. Everyone at the party didn't know who we were.

This is Rocky and Adrian. As you can see my brother Troy always has to have his shirt off at every event (see last Halloween pictures). I think Adrian beat him up for the party.

These professionals are the newest addition to "Dancing with the Stars". Leather pant man is the 3 time Latin Champion and he's known in the dance world as "Red Silk". His partner Candi is a 2 time Champion in the sexy Samba dance and she is known for her agility and cheetah like moves.

SCARY!!!

This is the only G-Rated clip I could show you.

Lucy McNaughton

Do you see the pure happiness on this child's face? I do! This is the newest addition to the McNaughton family. This is my niece, Roman & Cats baby girl, Lucy. She told me that the blanket I made is so cute and stylish. She will defiantly be showing this blankie off at church and other social events this season.

I'm an Alice.

I took a test to see what character I am like from Twilight and these are my characteristics...I just had to share these with my fellow people because I do know how to throw a party!

"You are intelligent, outgoing & stylish. A true girly girl, you love shopping & makeovers.Although you are a generous friend, you can be coy, tricky & very persuasive in order to get your way. You are known to zone out occasionally during conversations, but your friends forgive you because you are understanding, supportive & know how to throw one heck of a party!"

I heart Halloween

Baby Blanket!

I got a sewing machine last year and I finally put it to use and made 3 baby blankets for friends. My friend Melissa showed me how to make the blanket and appreciate all her help. My favorite part of making the blanket was buying the fabric I could not believe how many different patterns were available. My next project is to make a blanket for me!

Mexico!!! All Inclusive!!

We just got back from our fabulous trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was the best vacation we have been on since our honeymoon. Most of my family went on this trip which made it a lot more fun. We laughed a lot.

We stayed at the Riu Vallarta Resort(which is a 5 star resort). It was an all inclusive resort where all the food and drinks were included. Let me start at the beginning when we arrived at the resort they had our rooms ready and drink prepared. They gave us our bracelets and we hit the buffet. They had 4 restaurants and a buffet. The food was the BOMB!! I am telling you I ate way too much (I am afraid to get on the scale!) The resort was located on the beach and had 2 pools with water slides(from the pictures you can see we LOVED the slides). They had boogie boarding, water volleyball, beach volleyball and much more. Everything was included in the trip so we just put our wallets away and didn't pay for anything. Also every night they had live entertainment.

I know I know...you are dying to know how much I paid for my vacation well it was only $250 per person for 5 days, 4 nights so everyday I only paid $50 for my hotel room and all FOOD!! I know I am making you all jealous about my awesome vacation but if you want a vacation for a bomb deal check these trips out.

Make a living....living

We are in Minneapolis for a training conference and it was an amazing experience. I learned so much stuff. One of the quotes I heard that I loved was "You will pay the price of discipline or you will pay the price of regret." Have a goal of greatness!!!

4th of July

We had a fun filled day. In the morning our ward does a huge breakfast and it was very good. We then headed to the local beach and lounged all day. That night we went to a firework show in Phoenix with our friends Nate and Trish. It was really windy so they only did half the firework show and then canceled. That sucked but at least we saw some fireworks.

13.1 Miles. We did it!

We went to Salt Lake to do our 1/2 Marathon. I love running in Utah because for the entire 13.1 miles people are crowding the road and cheering you on. It felt great!
Also pretty cool is when we were almost to the finish line the professional athletes(those africans that are way too skinny) were finishing 26.2 miles. Kinda depressing....knowing they did 26.2 miles in the same time you did 13.1...

We also got to see Sean play 3 games! As you can see in the picture I wore my medal ALL DAY!! I was very proud of myself.

We are now on to our new adventure triathalons!
