Beach House!!

We went to San Diego last weekend and rented a beach house. The family went so we could see Sean play baseball against San Diego. We had the best time ever. The house was literally 50 steps from the beach and we were right next to Belmont Park along the boardwalk. I recommend this to anyone!

We also went to Sea World. I haven't been to Sea World since I was 6 or 7 so I was really excited. The dolphin show was the best. I can't believe people can train those animals. We then had had lunch with Shamu, not litterally but they have a buffet right nest to the killer whales. It is a special mini show. There were 4 killer whales doing tricks right in front of us. It was very cool.
We also went to the Wild Animal Park. It was great to see animals in their environment and not in a cage.

And then of course the best part of the trip was seeing Sean hit a homerun and a triple and kick butt. He had the biggest fan club at the games. During the game they would have the video camera's scan the crowd for people "dancing". Well I was the lucky one that got on the huge screen. Sean was laughing in the outfield. Let's just say he was a little embarrassed!

Beach House: San Diego

We are going to San Diego this weekend and my family rented a BEACH HOUSE. We are really excited. I will have tons and tons of pictures to make people jealous on Monday. We are also going to see Sean play baseball! That is of course the most exciting thing.

Beloved Church President, Gordon B. Hinckley, Dies at 97

He was a great leader that taught us the importance of temples. He is now with his beloved wife Majorie that he loved so dearly. I know he is happy.
Some amazing things he did:

In calling for 100 temples to be in operation before the end of the year 2000, the Church president committed the Church to a massive temple-building program.
President Hinckley was the most traveled president in the Church’s history. His duties took him around the world many times to meet with Latter-day Saints in more than 60 countries.
At a general conference of Church members in April 2001, President Hinckley initiated the Perpetual Education Fund — an ambitious program to help young members of the Church (mainly returning missionaries from developing countries) receive higher education and work-related training that they would otherwise likely never receive.
Closer to his Salt Lake City home, President Hinckley announced the construction of a new Conference Center in 1996 and dedicated it four years later. Seating 21,000 people, it is believed to be the largest religious and theater auditorium in the world and has become the hub for the Church’s general conference messages to the world, broadcast in 54 languages.
His quick wit and humor, combined with an eloquent style at the pulpit, made him one of the most loved of modern Church leaders. A profoundly spiritual man, he had a great fondness for history and often peppered his sermons with stories from the Church’s pioneer past.

We love guitar hero! We had a birthday party to celebrate my birthday, my sister Lindseys and my brother Troys. We decided to have a wii party and we rocked!! Dave is definitely addicted to it. I started a band called Hot Chix!!

New Years: Las Vegas

We were in Las Vegas for New Years and of course we had to go down to the strip to see how crazy it is. We first began the night going to the Rio where this guy was going to jump over 320 feet on his motorcycle. You may have seen it on ESPN. We chose a spot where we could see him go off the jump and then see him land. It was crazy to see him floating in the air and then land his bike safely. After the first jump he decided to do it again..yea we about died...he landed it successful the 2nd time and then called it good. I was glad. I didn't want to see blood and guts everywhere.

So after the jump Sean, me and Dave walked to the strip because they close down all the streets on and around the strip. My parents declined coming with us I was not sure why...but after getting to the strip I realized that they had made the right decision. We were out in front of the Bellagio and there was so many people from the pictures you can see that the streets were full of people. I read in the Las Vegas newspaper that Las Vegas was expecting about 320,000 people coming to the strip. At midnight all the hotels do huge fireworks so it was worth all the drunk, half-naked smoking people around me...If you ever wanna go to Vegas for New Years bring your walking shoes. We walked about 5 miles that night to and from the strip because of all the street closures.

Dancing with the Stars

We got to go to Dancing with the Stars while we were in Las Vegas during New Years. There was actually only three stars touring with the professionals. The stars were Drew Lachey(my favorite), Joey Lawrence, and "Cheetah Girls" Sabrina. The professionals were so amazing I couldn't believe how good they are at dancing. It was a great show and we loved it. One of the best parts of the show was at the beginning when they let some locals do dancing...there was an 80 yr old lady that was just way too funny.

It was also Dave's Birthday so he had a great day!
